Service Competencies

Engaging in service work provides me with the opportunity to work collaboratively with other individuals who have similar goals for the community. During my journey in doctoral program, I was fortunate to take part in some service work. Through services, I learned that contribution to community gives my doctoral journey more meaning in its’ process.

A. Service to Educational Technology Development in Indonesia

2020 International Webinar Series: Educational Revolution in Post Covid era – School of Education, State University of Malang.
In this online webinar, I presented a topic entitled to promoting students’ learning engagement in online learning. The content of my presentation was to discuss some best and feasible practices for teachers in secondary education to maintain students’ interest during online learning. All presenters were some graduate students from different countries (i.e., Malaysia, UEA, Cameroon, China, Italy, and Indonesia). The recording webinar can be found here.

IDEAthon Innovation COVID-19 – The Ministry of Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia.
In 2020, the Ministry of Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia created an event that invited scholars and communities to design innovative ideas to help the government to advance recovery from the pandemic in Indonesia. In this event, I submitted a design of a gamified learning platform that encourages students to study at home. (documentation)
